In 2017, I was invited to document Olivia's week-long quinceañera celebration, taking place between Los Angeles, California, and Tijuana, Mexico. What I experienced was much more than a quinceañera party; it was a nose dive into Mexican-American culture, the very fabric of Olivia's roots.
